We drove through Arches National Park right at sunset. This was planned. We left Colorado at the perfect timing so that we could watch a sunset in Arches. But when we arrived, there were storms brewing. This ended up leading to one of the coolest sunsets we’ve ever seen (another top sunset was the one in Norris Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park). The nearby storm could be seen with a large swath of streaking rain coming down below and delivered frequent bursts of lightening. Very cool! Meanwhile, the sky was lit up orange with the foreground canyon landscape.
