We were pleasantly surprised to find that Bryce Canyon National Park and surrounding regions are absolutely stunning.
The park itself is a must see and a great place to hike. The Fairyland trail is an 8 mile loop – highly recommended.
North of this is the Dixie and Fishlake National Forests with tons of forest access roads to get lost on. We found a spot just north of highway 153 (153 was closed to our surprise). This was one of those times when plan B amounted to an awesome reward – of 360 mountain views and a quiet camp retreat.
